Anonyme

Anonyme is an organization incorporated in 1990. The main service it provides is a mobile intervention unit called L’Anonyme, a motor home that roams the streets of ten Montréal neighbourhoods to offer help to troubled youth 14 to 30. To establish a communication with them and gain their trust, two workers welcome them, listen to them, guide them and educate them on various topics, particularly on health. They might direct them to various resources available in their neighbourhood. L’Anonyme aims to reduce misdemeanours, and also provides various services geared towards prevention (distribution of condoms and sterile materials, collection and distribution of syringes), disease screening and vaccination (hepatitis A and B, flu). Once a week, a nurse is on site to provide health care.
