Our five-year programming (2007-2011) targets 7 strategic themes grouped under two program categories:
First category: The international development program, with five key orientations in line with the main objectives of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) contained in the United Nations’ Millennium Declaration, namely:
- 1. Building the capacities of partner organizations;
- 2. Supporting public participation in exercising and respecting human rights;
- 3. Supporting economic development in a spirit of solidarity;
- 4. Supporting primary health programs and the struggle against HIV-AIDS and other pandemics;
- 5. Supporting basic education and training programs.
Second category: Managing and engaging the commitment of Canadians, with the following key orientations:
- 6. Mobilizing resources and implementing our international programming;
- 7. Mobilizing societal and public commitment.
